yeah we're gonna change the music to the title of the level

for example map01 running from evil would use D_RUNNIN

for example at doom's gate was used in map17 in plutonia, and it will be used for map17 in doom 2 in song only

the reason is some doom 2 songs are reused in doom 2 like 3 times

this gives variety

use vanilla doom 2 textures

well you can also use doom 1 textures I will allow those, infact reccomended (but you don't have to)

They are from doom 1 tho

E3M8 has my favorite midi, its from plutonia

Yea I'm a little confused on the music thing. Are we just using the names of the tracks as map ideas (map is directly based on the song title)? If so, there should be no Doom 1 songs? And using the same MIDI? If yes, then music should not be changed at all. Is this correct?

ok so here is some clear context

yes we are making maps based off music titles

the reason why some doom 1 map songs are here is because some of them were used in plutonia and are supposed to replace the doom 2 songs that were reused in later levels... because having three maps titled "Dave D Taylors Blues" is confusing

and yes you must use the midi of the map title

The maps I picked have the default Doom II music selection, so I shouldn't need to pack in the MIDI, right?
