RED77 Posted January 30, 2023 Not gonna lie. I hated this map. Not because is badly designed or something like that. But the combination of hard platforming, inescapable pits, and resource starvation it's a hard sale for me. I think there's a certain audience that will LOVE this map. But it's not for me. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
thelamp Posted January 30, 2023 this is a tough little map but I'm thankful the puzzle was easier than in whatdoido.wad! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

jmac Posted January 31, 2023 (edited) Very interesting map, though not exactly a fun one. Visually, you've created something pretty special here IMO. Some of the platforming is pretty torturous. I noclipped a couple times out of frustration to reach the end. The only part of the map where I genuinely enjoyed the gameplay was the puzzle with the coloured switches near the end. SleepyVelvet Posted January 31, 2023 FDA: noisy_glaciertown.zip Cool map. DNF. I went in with "casual brain" not knowing what I was getting into. And in this context, I'm a bigger fan of "escapable pits" and being able to redo sections when you fall down or mess up instead of just getting one shot. But that's up to personal mapping philosophy and what you're trying to go for here. Otherwise, I liked what I saw so far, and I did feel a bit of the morbid mood that the map is trying to go for, I think. All those dead bodies, the music choice, etc. I recommend others play with saves first playthrough, it's one of those maps. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Not Jabba Posted January 31, 2023 I love this map. So tiny and so weird. I play with saves, so it was pretty quick and painless, and the tightly-knitted combination of gameplay ideas was a lot of fun. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

LadyMistDragon Posted January 31, 2023 Neat map! You even added in a secret which isn't really the point of 'monsterless' maps but also, more exploring is always nice. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Egg Boy Posted February 7, 2023 The music made it feel oddly avant-garde, really liked the atmosphere, the tower at the end is really cool. Just a fun lil diorama kinda map. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
