Using ChatGPT for mapping prompts

I'm new here so sorry if this has been discussed already. I did a search but didn't see this discussion pop up.

As you may be already aware ChatGPT is being used for all sorts of things so why not Doom? I tried using DALLE to generate automaps but that failed (it draws map maps, not map maps) so I tried using ChatGPT to generate prompts mappers can use to get them started and hey, it works pretty well! This could definitely be used as a base idea for a community project (would probably get written about if it was big enough) and could be made much more robust and interesting with more time and careful word choice.

Below are my first three prompts. You can see where the shortcomings are (ending is always largely similar etc) but for essentially zero effort on my behalf it's managing to spit out some usable stuff. Once you start tweaking the prompt I'm sure you could come up with some really interesting ideas.

I also "talked" to chatGPT about DooM a few days ago. In general it felt like it was pulling from wikipedia too much, overly verbose.

As for these prompts, they feel kind of .... generic? Which does make sense, I guess. IMO it would be kind of hard to implement many of these features into DooM without turning it into a GZDooM project.

EDIT: I did once make a really simply program that picked a bunch of words from a dictionary and I tried building a level around that. I guess something similar could be tried with this, albeit on a much higher level.

flying demons that shoot fireballs from the air

Isn't that just a cacodemon? What is new here?

On topic: as Pechudin stated some features will be impossible to make unless we use advanced GZdoom features.

However, I feel like the first prompt seems to be the most plausible to make without changing much from the original prompt. Only thing that needs to changed is a bit of the layout category.

You can probably train it to make UDMF scripts. I told it to make a Matrix effect in Python - and it did something of the sort. I could've been more verbose, I guess.
