JJBoren Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) Demons Ripped My Flesh iwad: Doom 2 Slots: Map01 - Map07 and MAP09 Format: UDMF Tested with: GzDoom Jumping: No Difficulty levels: Supported Balanced for a pistol start on UV (ammo can at times be little bit tight) Textures: Otex 1.1 A 7 map episode for Doom 2. This wad uses some amount of scripting so it probably only works on GzDoom. Insaneprophet Posted February 1, 2023 Ive played through the first four maps and this is REALLY GOOD. The layouts are intricate, the combat kicks ass and the secrets are very in depth. Anyway, very nicely done, I hope you plan to do more in the future. I played on UV in GZdoom 4.10.0 and there were some problems: MAP02: I couldn't find any way to open sector 437 that leads to plasma secret. Does the script work properly? MAP07: 15 monsters in sectors 1005, 1507 and 1316 never became active and thus 100% kills is impossible. Also, I got message Unknown texture: "OSWTCHD4" in the console right after I rode up elevator from the mastermind arena. Maybe there's a connection? BTW, I liked that the monster spawners stop when you complete the switch puzzle. The obligatory list of map geometry warnings: Spoiler MAP02 - Utility Sector Line 1035 has no first side. ---------------------------------------- MAP03 - Three Keys Line 2517 has no first side. Line 5110 has no first side. Line 5114 has no first side. Line 8801 has no first side. Line 8802 has no first side. And... has anyone figured out the switches in MAP05? I presume they open the door behind the bloodfall nearby? Just ran through the map and it worked. The solution might just be a little bit moonlogicy. I just ran through the level with IDDQD and I was able to get 100% of kills, so it seems to work in my end at least. Thanks for the feedback. edit: Looked closer at MAP07 and I noticed that I had not tagged some linedefs as "repeatable", so it might be possible to use them before you are supposed to. This mapset was lacking a proper secret level since I decided to make the og secret level (Shrine of the Great Spider) its own release after it became too big. I have made a new map and I consider this wad to be complete for now.
