ArchRevival Posted February 3, 2023 Recently I got back into mapping, and decided to made my most recent map Boom compatible, and made some small gameplay adjustments. Here you go! No freelook required. IWAD: Doom 2 mountainlab.zip 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
RastaManGames Posted February 4, 2023 (edited) That was cute map with pleasuring encounters and (sometimes) with nice design choices. It wasn't too harsh towards the player and I like the balancing of enemies and their placement. Visually, map looking hood (for the most time). There was few places with slight misalignment, though. Is there more maps of yours that you can suggest? I'd like to see on your other projects, if there is some of them are ready to be played. By the way, here is some humble playthrough of your map, mate: Also, another "note of love" to YouTube, since their ContentID system is just awful. I am kinda sick of its triggering on the MIDI soundtracks for Doom maps. Edited February 4, 2023 by RastaManGames 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

princetontiger Posted February 4, 2023 Nice map... took me about 5 minutes. I found 2/3 secrets. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Somniac Posted February 5, 2023 Solid little map, easygoing and gave me TNT vibes. Couple of misaligned textures but no big deal. It took me ages to figure out that platform to the other teleport but I'm tired and my brain wasn't working. Vista at the start was cool! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
FireWarden1000 Posted February 25, 2023 I completed mountainlab.wad with Crispy-Doom, amazing DOOM2 map design, 90/100. This is hard to believe that someone made a classic DOOM2 map that plays very similar to a classic DOOM2 map. The map is that good, the only downsides of the map would be overall map difficulty, and map progression. I had to go after you about the switch designs. I am someone who prefers to confuse players, but people get lost real easily. Background designs, while the background designs are well designed, the backgrounds designs should actually be part of the gaming area instead of being decorations. My recommendations, place enemies in ambush locations to ambush the player instead of out in the open. Place similar enemies in the same area to prevent the enemies from attacking each other. For example Revenants cannot fight other Revenants. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
