On the subject of what you were replying to Willington about, I am getting the exact same error message after completing the underhalls level and loading into the second My House level (level 3). I have no other mods and was only using GZDoom 4.10.0.
I didn’t think it would do anything for me but I went ahead and downloaded ZDL to try it on there and the result didn’t change. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Okay so I'm trying to beat this thing without looking at ANY hints but I gotta know

Is going to SLLAHREDNU the wrong play? It makes you lose everything and I couldn't find any additional secrets.

I was intrigued by a playthrough I've seen on Youtube, and hopefully I stopped watching it rapidly to play it myself.

 

OMFG.

 

It's probably the best WAD I've ever played (in its category, we're not talking about slaughtermaps here). Every 5 minutes I was like "WTF? No way that... ohhhhhhh that's so cool" Then the whole dimension of the wad changes and leaves you mindboggled.

 

I ultimately read some spoilers and it expended the game even more.

 

A true masterpiece, full of meaningful details and a kind of true story with a unique atmosphere. Wow.

I went there too. Basically, it's just for the fun of playing the reversed version of the level with reversed sounds. But once you finish it (don't forget to pick up the SSG), it brings you back to the house. The only thing is that you found be able to get the keycards, just the skullkeys.

This feels like an art/design students project. Or group of them. Not just the map itself, but the whole story, identity of the og "creator", all the other stuff in the zip, like the journal entries and everything.

What an incredible map!

 

I heard about it through a reddit thread (shoutout to r/creepygaming) and it really did not disappoint. This was my first time touching the original Doom (albeit with FreeDoom lol random but I actually prefer how the soulsphere looks in FreeDoom. The orange skull chomping away is very pleasing to me) and it was pretty fun. I love the movement and general gameplay. I didn't know about certain things like the player height being different and the game music sounding off on the second house because like I said, I had no reference for it lol.

Knowing some of the cheat codes would have been useful since they apparently came with hints on this map. I would also just restart the game whenever I beat the house, and found out about the hospital immediately as I did not know how long it would take for me to respawn after death.

Since I was streaming the game to my girlfriend, she joined in on the mystery solving. I usually love solving things for myself but it was super fun to play detective with her. We found pretty much everything on our own EXCEPT for the unending dark halls and the true ending. This was because I didn't see/spawn the shadow fiend thing or w/e it's called when in the mirrored world and neglected to read the journal entry about the beach more closer. It just seemed like rambling so I ignored it, and at that point, me and my GF had spent a good 6+ hours solving so we decided to watch the long Youtube video that informed us of the game in the first place. 

 

If anyone is reading this, please recommend me more maps like this! I realize I may have screwed myself over by playing such a fantastic wad as my first experience, but I'm sure I could still enjoy others :)

The only things you won't be able to get back if you visit SLLAHREDNU are the keycards in the first house, and the blue key is useful later on (it is optional tho). You're still able to obtain all the artifacts.

well...i'm not sure there really is much else like this in doom modding, at least not yet. now, there's plenty of more typical horror wads - dead.air, happy time circus 2, unloved, the ghoul's forest series, and parts of cyriak's going down are some that come to mind - but in terms of psychological horror like this, there's really not a lot. the only three that i can think of that're similar are lilith.pk3, the thing that you can't defeat, and lilium

its 100% inspired me to make something similar although I'm sorta new to mapping and don't know if I'll ever post anything I make yet

Hi, I feel kind of dumb asking about this because I feel I know the answer, but does anyone know the importance of "SELESTNSOAJYIKHYMMU"?
I was looking through the PK3 and looked at the credits and saw that certain letters were capitalized while others weren't, and that's what came out.

 

I wholeheartedly assume someone else has found this already because it seems way too easy to find, but I just wanna check and make sure.

Heyo! I have yet to see a concrete attempt to map out the Nividson corridor, so I'll be trying my best to create a map. I was surprised to find how massive it is, and it occurred to me that the only way to be positive I had explored it all, would be to actually map the entire space. I'll share progress as it occurs!

You can do it yourself as a challenge if you want, but the whole map is already available in the Doomwiki article.

Well, you just saved my sanity. Previously when I found the spiral staircase and the other quirky bits in there I realized how insane the layout becomes.

It's not just a massive layout, it also includes a lot of portals that connect it together in impossible ways.  Trying to map it by hand would be pretty difficult!

 

I happen to have the map open anyway right now, here's the Navidson house minus the giant room with the stairs.  Red arrow is the entrance. 

Note that navigating with this map is still gonna be kinda tricky because it doesn't show the portals.

I loaded up 20PAM in Doom Launcher to get a opening shot for its new revamped screenshot gallery. It detected my filthy warping and dumped me directly into the Backrooms, with seemingly no escape. I dont think I'll be sleeping well tonight after being stuck in there for half an hour.

If you're interested, there's an explanation of how to get out here. Unless it somehow removed the exit as a response to your warping.

I looked at that actually after failing to find my own way out; IDDT shows there are no exit areas from it. I guess the only way to see Reverse Underhalls is the legit way.

Also, booo, the Skinstealer counts as a kill. Thats entirely unfair, as it has 1 point under 10 billion HP. I'm guessing the Mirror Viles count as kills too, and they have 5 million. Guess im typing 'kill skinstealer' in the console then when im at Reverse Underhalls for real.
