prfunky Posted March 20, 2023 This should actually be posted in Editing Questions of Doom Editing sub-forum. Love the demon's "what do expect ME to do about it?" look! https://www.doomworld.com/forum/58-editing-questions/ 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Edward850 Posted March 20, 2023 (edited) Map units are the same in Doom64, however the rendering is no longer stretched vertically to 1:1.2, rather pixels are now square again. You'll need to design any sprites around square pixels. Though frankly everything in that screenshot looks distorted. I can only speak for actual Doom64, the port you're using seems to be stretching things inconsistently (the HUD doesn't even look close to correct). BlueChesFri39 Posted March 20, 2023 (edited) It is DOOM 64 CE. Also is there any way to convert 1:1.2 to square pixels? Edited March 22, 2023 by BlueChesFri39 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
BlueChesFri39 Posted March 20, 2023 Also will the remake of DOOM 64 AKA the Night Dive port work with my WAD, as it is made in mind of DOOM 1993 and DOOM 2. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
BlueChesFri39 Posted March 22, 2023 Ok the problem was that I was using a bad aspect ratio that is why the HUD and everything looked a little off. Here are some updated photos. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Individualised Posted March 26, 2023 The aspect ratio/resolution is not your issue (DOOM 64 CE and it's PSX/Final counterpart are meant to be played in hi-res widescreen anyway, it's an unofficial remaster after all), and the HUD still looks awful. I have no idea what you're doing to make that happen. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
