Irrelevant to this thread, but that name (Slotter 2) reminded me of gggmork's Slaughterfest 2011 map 20 (which he also named Slotter).

 

Ha, thought he resurrected from the dead to release a second edition of his map lol.

Strangely enough, the name came from a conversation I had with @NinjaDelphox, where he was making fun of Doom slaughter by spelling it wrong. So as a joke I named a wad SLOTTER as a joke.

 

It was only a few months later when I learned that there was an actual map called Slotter from SF2011, like you said.

I have some old maps that were never released you might be interested in.

 

The Path Part III

You need to collect any two keys and complete one of three quests to open the exit so there is many different ways you can beat this map getting all keys and completing all quests will open the secret exit.

 

Chapel Of Black Granite II

Similar layout to the original that captures some of the crudeness of the original like the imp cages but much more interesting of a map.

 

These two map will take more than 10 minutes to complete let me know if you are interested.

I'd definitely be interested in these maps.

 

The 10 minutes rule is a soft rule and I've generally though of extending it to 15-20. Even so it's fine to have some longer maps intertwined.

 

The only thing that may need to be tweaked in the maps is the fact that hell knights are not a thing in this project. They are replaced with tankier pacifist hell knights. (Also I don't think this would really affect your maps, but the berserk and chaingun are also beefed a bit).

 

Point is that the maps would need some tweaking to fit in the wad is all.

I'd like to say that the project submissions for this are now closed.

 

I have some other minor things to announce, with the first being the project name change.

 

While the demo was called "SLOTTER II" being as a joke title, we've decided to make this a more serious project named "Hell Revealations" as a sequel to Hell Revealed II. (Also yes the name is a pun).

 

In addition, the final WAD will include some of the maps from the demo, but not all. The demo released on April 1st was meant to be a bit joke-y at parts in being extra tedious, while the full release will include some of that, but with a bit more focus on good mapping.

 

In the final WAD, Hell Knights have been added back into the bestiary. While stripping them out was a bit of joke, they do serve a purpose at times. In addition, a widely requested feature was to change the timing of the BFG firing, which we've changed back to be closer to Vanilla.

 

The release date for Hell Revealations is set for early May. We hope that you'll check out the full megawad!

Hey everyone,

 

It's been a while since anything publicly has been said about the project.

We are getting ever closer to release, but have hit a couple roadblocks on the way.

 

For now, I will say that one of our mappers has bowed out of the project, and so we now have a free episode 3 mapslot for the taking.

The requirements for this map would be to complete it within the span of 2 weeks (We are somewhat flexible - this is specifically talking about a UV draft).

 

If you are interested in taking the episode 3 mapslot, you can join the project here.

 

We have 30/32 maps with Ultra-Violence completed with most of those maps having all difficulties. Alot of the maps are currently being played through by our lovely testers @Large Cat and @Cacodemon187 to ensure that all issues and bugs are ironed out and difficulties are fair.

 

We have made the decision to include Ultra-Violence Plus (multiplayer only) difficulties as well as Deathmatch support for every map. This may take a little extra time, but with how this project has evolved into a major high quality megawad, I think it's worth it.

 

I can't wait for you to see the final megawad!

Like I said a few days ago, we are looking for someone to take an episode 3 mapslot, due to one of our mappers dropping out.

We are hoping to get a completed UV draft of the map in 2 weeks time (We are somewhat flexible).
