GZDoom Multiplayer Co-op QOL Improvements

I prefer to play coop with the GZDoom source port and it’s actually pretty decent but has a few annoying things. Listed below are a few mods I’ve found that in my opinion, greatly improve upon the multiplayer co-op experience. 

 

 

Player Resurrection (Download is in the comments, it’s the ninth comment on the first page)

When a player runs out of HP, they are put in a “staggered” state and can’t revive themselves. However, another player can now walk up to you and interact (+use) with you to revive you. When revived, you keep everything you previously had and get back up with 10HP. Rather than starting back at spawn with nothing as normal.

Teammate Highlight

When your teammate is out of direct sight, you will now see a ghost image of them through walls and objects. Also adds a name tag above the player.

 

 

 

Super Co-op Pack

This mod includes multiple features

 

Disables Player to Player Collision (Prevents TeleFrags and hallway jams) 

When one player discovers a secret, it now notifies all players of the secret.

Disables Multiplayer monsters

Shows player name and info when under cursor.

 

 

 

This collection of mods pretty much solves everything that was annoying in multiplayer co-op for GZDoom and adds a few QOL features.
 

One thing I can think of that I wish existed, was a hud addon that displays your teammates stats (health, armor, keys, etc…) at all times. Something like this could actually even be useful in Brutal Doom, to see your Marine followers Health. Sadly I’ve yet to find such a mod and I don’t have the skills to create it myself.
