I think that for now this is a youtube shorts series, though maybe in the end he will make it a full size video. They are pretty entertaining videos.

I could see someone doing a fan edit Frankensteining all the tiktoks into one semi-cohesive video, but it would be a real challenge if not outright impossible to cut out each video's into without either cut lines bleeding into the kept lines or the kept lines getting cut short unnaturally

I just found this thread. I also like TNT (and don't like Plutonia). I've been pretty excitedly watching the Shorts Series. I don't think the joke overstayed its welcome because I'm still looking forward to the rest of the series to come out.

Most of these are unofficial releases, today they are no different than any other fanmade wad/mod. Strife is its own game, just like Heretic and Hexen... it'll be great if he covers it, but i wouldn't count it towards his Doom reviews. If i have to pick one of these, it will be Perdition's Gate, which i think it's very underrated and even ahead of it's time, it's almost like a distant predecessor to Scythe.

 

@Eurisko, i mean, people already are spamming his comment sections with recommendations. It's not a big deal, i doubt he pays too much attention to it. Even if he never reviews community content, people will still demand Doom wads, a little more of that won't hurt him or his viewers that much.

I’ve always loved this map, and playing through it for the first time, making my way to the vast canyon area, was one of the most memorable experiences I had early on with Doom. I still get why a lot of people don’t like it though.

Here's the twist. Civvie will say this map may be the worst looking and most badly designed map but it's major plus point is you can skip most of it and finish it in like 3 minutes and that automatically makes it in the top half of TNT levels.

Habitat is so objectively ugly and poorly laid out that it’s actually kind of lovable. I doubt he’ll be impressed by the sewage pipes if he didn’t like any of the MAP19 Doomcutey goodness, but if he has any Hot Takes about Habitat not being terrible it’ll probably be either this or what @hybridial said

Now don't get me wrong. I hold civvie in very high regard. Great content creator, honest and opinionated.

 

But this beating on tnt is just getting a little... too much now.

 

It's like bullying the new kid in school. A bit of hazing and pushing and shoving is funny, amusing, almost cute. But when the bullying gets to the point of having teeth smashed out and said new kid is crawling around the floor vomiting blood, its not funny anymore and everyone stands around feeling awkward and sick and sorry for the kid. I feel we have got to that point with this tnt hazing.

 

C'mon civvie. Get it over with. Yeah tnt is bad in some regards, but it was groundbreaking, epic, wonderful in many ways too.

 

That said, the phrase "I opposite of love this shit," is one of the great lines of critique ever uttered, so if nothing else, we have that wonderful phrase now in our shared consciousness.

A Critics opinions it's almost as valid as a player opinions, so if you still hold in high regards TNT Evilution, this series should not change your opinions on that.

I watched a couple of Dario’s TNT playthrough videos today and man, if you think Civvie is being mean… 😂

@Faceman2000 Dario's playthroughs are awesome, i watch him play a level or two from time to time, it's very relaxing for me. It should be noted that he curses and rages on good wads as well, even on his own maps in Plutonia, it's just his way of enjoying the game. Some of his viewers have already misunderstood that for some sort of spite towards TNT, but once you remove his funny raging and bleeps, his criticisms of the wad are 100% valid. I hope he's doing okay and is preparing a new playthrough for us, it has been some time since his last upload.

 

This is more in the realms of fantasy, but what if Dario is secretly making Doom maps for the 30th anniversary? I'm calling it first! 😂
