[UDMF] Doomguy Does Speed RC1 - 7 fast-paced speedmaps

Oh, look! Another project I’m in! 😂 Hooray for the Wadazine doing some speedmapping! I know I suggested it a while back, so it was cool to actually take some time to map fast and give the kids something to kill demons in!

@Delisk Hm...

It is a GZDoom source-port? If it is, then which version do you have?

I mean... Dynamic lights are acting really strange on your video and seems that they are going thru the solid walls that must block their dispersion.

Well, i see the mistake i've made forgetting about continious play. Map should've been pistol started and everyone came with full arsenal lol. Oh well, there is always next time. Oh, and im always amazed how people breaking progression, even when its literally 2 corridors and 1 hall lol.

Just gave this a run. I love how brief but unique and challenging the levels are while having secrets that are either easy to find or plain in sight but subtle enough to be challenging to an extent. The last level feels quite like a D64 map to an extent, I'm sure @Immorpher might be interested in it.

 

I wish I could have made a submission for this, but due to time ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶k̶i̶l̶l̶s̶ (alongside all other responsibilities), didn't make it through. Hopefully next time, maybe!

I have a blast while playing Doomguy Does Speed.  All of the 7 maps are short yet quite neat and good-looking.  My personal favorite one is Map02 - Highway to Hell Via Bus since it's rare to see this kind of map set the player start and fight on the moving vehicles.  Map05 - District Showdown set a fast-action urban combat and I really enjoy the progress of cleaning from corner to corner, room by room.  Map06 - Marble Pools of Color looks pretty awesome and has some real hot actions at the beginning and the end. Map07 - Blood and Rust gave me a Silent Hill vibe that it's atmospherically great and I really digging it.  Thank you for your great effort making these fun maps to play!
