Witchkvlt Archwizard Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) INFERNAL HAILS! On this forum I heard about Sekaiju program. Tried that and wrote first MIDI song, tried to make it dark (spent ~3-4 hours). So I enjoy very dark and evil stuff because Black Metal, War Metal and Goregrind fan. Wanted to hear your thoughts and critics to increase quality of future MIDI compositions. Below is .zip archive containing 2 files: .mid file (MIDI composition) and .mp3 file 320 kbps 48.0 kHz (converted by VirtualMIDISynth using Arachno v1.1 and RealAcousticDrums v5 soundfonts): W_A_FIRST_MIDI.zip Track titles: Look Around & Die Edited April 6, 2023 by Witchkvlt Archwizard Forgot to format 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Witchkvlt Archwizard Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) Have written another MIDI. Following Stuff is nonsense, harsh and extreme grindy MIDI noise You may have heard before. Blast beats I made fast as !HELL! Assume, that's perfect for the same nonsense brutal slaughter maps! Enjoy your meat! Criticism I appreciate, maybe who else made more brutal stuff NONSENSE_GRINDY_EAR_EXTERMINATOR_VOL_!.zip Track titles: Nonsense Occult Doomguy Dismember in the Darkest Depths of Slaughter Maps Edited April 6, 2023 by Witchkvlt Archwizard 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Witchkvlt Archwizard Posted April 6, 2023 So I have one idea: when I make 15 MIDI compositions I'll upload the compilation of them on this forum 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Even in slaughter maps; I tend to prefer longer and more varied prog metal type tracks for those. This MIDI sounds like a decent climax for a more expansive song. Also, try using other instruments than distortion guitar, drumset, and bass, at least incidentally. The variety helps. 10 hours ago, Witchkvlt Archwizard said: So I have one idea: when I make 15 MIDI compositions I'll upload the compilation of them on this forum Fine idea, I do this whenever I have 30 minutes to an hour of MIDI to release. If you're going to do this a lot, I'd recommend looking into music-sharing and file-sharing services. Bandcamp is pretty good and it'll let you earn a little money from your music, and The Internet Archive (archive.org) is good for long-time archiving and for sharing any file you want to be publicly available for free. I know well what is Bandcamp. But PayPal doesn't work in my country :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

But archive.org should work too, it has a built-in player for audio files so as long as you upload them it'll be fine, it's just not quite as easy to use and it won't pay you. Anyway, I hope you keep working at MIDI music. I firmly believe that everyone, or at least far more people than think it, can make great music, given just the tiniest bit of theory and a lot practice. And the Doom community could always use more. Witchkvlt Archwizard Posted April 10, 2023 (edited) Experimented with more instruments to make MIDI more atmospheric (that MIDI is just the experiment and some kind of «test»). And all of MIDIs were uploaded to Internet Archive where you can download easily in my profile (MIDI: https://archive.org/details/04-10-2023-witchkvlt-archwizard-revenant-midnight-orchestre-of-eternal-agony) Track titles: Revenant Midnight Orchestre of Eternal Agony Edited April 11, 2023 by Witchkvlt Archwizard 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Witchkvlt Archwizard Posted April 11, 2023 (edited) Oh, made the first MIDI I spent more than 4 hours on that (length: about 12 minutes). Tried to make it slow with one blast beat section. Structure inspired by Xasthur — Nocturnal Poisoning a bit. And... Yes, I'm a little Funeral Doom fan as well (link: https://archive.org/details/04-11-2023-witchkvlt-archwizard-tragic-funeral-near-the-gates-of-hell) Track titles: Tragic Funeral Near the Gates of Hell (0:12:04) Edited April 11, 2023 by Witchkvlt Archwizard 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
