How to use dsda-doom's rewind feature while recording a demo, in-game?

Recommended Posts

Alr, I came across a video by dwars that said it is now feasible to record a demo and rewind in game to the previously saved keyframe: around 0:46 mark

But, he didin't told how exactly to do it? So can anybody explain...

There's a keybind for rewinding frames, one for storing a frame, and another for rewinding to the aforementioned frame. The first one rewinds further the longer you hold the key, so it's not as accurate. When you store a frame with the second keybind, you can rewind directly to it sort-of like a quicksave/quick load with the third keybind. I don't use DSDA-Doom and don't have it installed, so I don't know what those keybinds are called, but I hope this helps.

PS: If I'm not explaining this all that well, I'm extra drowsy because of some medication I took for a toothache, so I apologize if you have trouble understanding what I'm saying.

strict mode (options -> general -> dsda-doom settings) has to be disabled to allow tas tools to be used in demos.
