Pretty interesting project! Is there any deadline? Also, it's your Discord name correct? Tried to send you a DM, but didn't work out.

I have to accept your friend request for it to work (Idk why). There is no deadline yet, though I hope to finish sometime this year...

This seems pretty fun. Tho, I'd recommend you to actually put the resources here in the public thread, rather than behind a Discord wall that seems to be ultimately redundant, IMO. Discord has a spam filter that hides unwanted messages from people that you don't have added as a friend, so, better to just organize it here unless you have a full server for the CP administration.

 

That said, I'd like to take E4M1!

I have few humble questions:

  1. When you mentioned that this is gonna be a map pack for "Ultimate Doom" with "Doom II" textures, do you meaning that there is gonna be used a "D1GFXD2" resource pack? 
  2. It is better to choose exact vanilla or limit-removing, since visplane overflow is a thing and I bet that map with astonishing count of sectors gonna crash Chocolate Doom really bad.
  3. How exactly spechits overflow can be used in mapping? I am only in aware of using self-referencing sectors.

Hello future maker of E4M9: Atmosphere Processing, when you will be in making process of the map you should use these images as an inspiration and starting point. This idea was approved by Catfoolyou themself:

I apologize for the (extremely) late reply, as I have been busy with other stuff. I will try to answer your questions as best as possible.

 

1. I'm not using the D1GFXD2 pack, textures along with PNAMES and other lumps are included directly in the PWAD.

2. That depends on the size of your map.

3. Look at STRAIN's MAP07 or MAP08 (I forgot which)

Sounds like a very interesting project. I wouldn’t mind taking a crack at e3m6 ‘growth chamber’ sounds like the kind of style of map that is right down my ally 😁

Already got a move on the map! haven't made a tech based map before, so this will be an interesting project :)

*also would like to ask for into the hive as well, then I could join the maps into each other.

Making some progress on e3m6! Just wanted to stop on by and say hello!

 

also great job on e1m3 monti! througly enjoyed playing through it. (that red key room is a dick :P) 

 

just posting some screenshots of my progress onto the thread to let everybody know how it is shaping up, and also wanted to ask CatFoolYou, is this the type of style you were looking for?

It looks awesome! But dmh094, you should probably read stuff on our discord server, and post more in it aswell, you would get more feedback from people
