Which prominent figures in the DOOM community do you look up to the most?

all cacoward writers and all non-memer sidebar reviewers... i think it takes some serious thought and patience to write a satisfying review that makes a wad sound interesting, sidestepping technical posting without running away with fantasy or narrative

all speedrunners who bump the misc records thread with absurd/forgotten wads. just high level players with mysterious goals, i admire them all lol

everyone posting their own strange work, even if they bump the thread a day later in a "please clap" manner like i would

 

(i think "prominent" is a distraction tbh)

John Romero for obvious reasons.

James Paddock. don't know anything about him other than he makes the best music Classic Doom will ever see.

Hmmm...probably Kingdime and Looper, but "look up to" is a strong phrase. And John Romero. "Look up to" is getting mellow here.

If I'm honest, not many people. Even confined to the gaming community, idolatry is, for me, a daft path to take. That's not arrogance on my part (I mean, I can't map at all, for one thing), it's just something I've never agreed with.

These are more people I find to either provide great content, are good community project leaders, or simply all-round nice people (some all three);

SAV88, Ancalagon, Jimmy, DavidX, Obsidian, Pcorf, j4rio, Thingie, jerrysheppy, Death Bear, amongst many others.
