@Slipgate Tourist Hell, yeah!

 

While Miles Davis was an unquestioned musical genius, he was playing off other musical greats, like John Coltrane & Cannonball Adderly. Also, jazz drummers generally get short shrift, but Jimmy Cobb is noteworthy with his understated backbeat.

I watched the Birth of the Cool Documentary the other day. Highly recommended.

@Kokoro Hane The music in that video (11 目覚め) starts off like something in The Lord of the Rings

 

@Slipgate Tourist I know you realize what I was saying, but I'll clarify. Miles Davis' greatness is enhanced by the greatness of the players with whom he performed.

can't recall if I ever posted this one before, but if I did just assume it's for the new members who had not seen it yet.

Or something something good music doesn't need to be posted only once something something.

(side project of Igorrr, completely different sound but great even so)
