I've been listening to the Half-Quake soundtrack, it's oddly relaxing and enjoyable. The Half-Quake trilogy is available for free on Steam, and it's an incredibly enjoyable and sadistic mod for Half-Life. I can't guarantee that people will like it, but I've always found it to be a very enjoyable and frustrating experience. It feels more like a work of abstract art than a game, and it will kill you over and over, but it's a beautiful mod, and one that I've continued going back to for years. There's something about it that feels like it captures the Zeitgeist of video games from the late 90's and early 2000's. And it hates you, as the player, it hates you specifically, and it makes that very clear, so I love it.

 

And I've been listening to the soundtrack for a few decades, and it's really enjoyable. And you can get the entire soundtrack, as well as the game, free on Steam. Just search for Halfquake.

This guy is a fucking genius, that's all I can say about him and his music.
Ethereal music, they both, David and Ryuichi, are not from our planet.
Such depth of melody, such texture of music, such a palette of feelings and colors, you can just go crazy.
I don't know how to say this, but when you listen to these songs, it's like you're breathing fresh air.
