Whenever I think of Magma I always think back to this Jazz Appreciation course I had in college. At the time I had learned about Magma and listened to Kobia a lot. In one of our essay assignments it was to write about some jazz artist not mentioned in the course. I chose Magma and the feedback I got was "I don't think this is really jazz, but I appreciate your enthusiasm" and still gave me an A, lmao

Kobaïa is more jazzy than Üdü Wüdü or Köhntarkösz but if you want real jazz, try Fusion (the jazz rock quartet with Magma musicians: Lockwood, Top, Vander and Widemann).
