SYS Posted December 18, 2022 This whole album is tits. Must have if you collect synthwave. This is before the Dance with the Dead remix gaining attention with the CoD games. Felt good to score this album on vinyl. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
hybridial Posted December 18, 2022 Gonna get a chance to go see Swallow the Sun and Draconian live in April. Then Ne Obliviscaris and Persefone in May because why not. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Sneezy McGlassFace Posted December 19, 2022 . Sound of my childhood. Except the mt-32 part. I'd hear this for hours and hours in the windows general midi. Most played game of my childhood for some reason 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Walter confetti Posted December 19, 2022 Really interesting album, lots of twist and turns between many genres of music: Progressive, Free Jazz, Melodic/Technical Death Metal, even country and polka inserts put there for screwing with your hearing expectations! All in a way that make me think of Rush in YYZ, lots and lots of twisting in melodic and musical structure that make you wonder what coming next! Recently, a sequel to this album has coming out last year... I heard it's even better than this album! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Agent Slacker Posted December 19, 2022 I might be crazy, but I think around the 1:49 mark, sounds a bit similar to Between Levels from DOOM II. I wouldn't be surprised if ol' Bobby borrowed something from this. It is a staple of Texas blues after all. https://youtu.be/tTT7AhEarbI 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Daytime Waitress Posted December 20, 2022 Don't care for Borderlands, but I'm really enjoying this cover after being put onto the album by @leejacksonaudio. The production's obviously a lot rougher than Kyd's originals, and it's not as grand(iose) or menacing - and that's precisely why I like it. Stripped back goodness. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ducon Posted December 20, 2022 Glenn Branca, Symphony no 2 The peak of the sacred, First movement. Z’ev is playing sometimes with his drums and pans; Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo are still here. ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚪ 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Garlichead Posted December 20, 2022 Garbage first album. Around three months ago my wife and I had a traffic accident while listening to it. Had not heard it since then until this week, one of favorite of them. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
HeatedChocolate Posted December 20, 2022 Currently it's the annoying, layered-over conversations of a high school cafeteria, I am supremely bored. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ducon Posted December 20, 2022 Glenn Branca, Symphony no 3 Gloria, First movement. Oh, there is another guy that you might know here: Michael Gira. ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚪ 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
