If doom 2 had more weapons discussion

People Dehacked in flamethrowers with limited range, which is pretty cool.  Give one higher damage than the Plasma Rifle and we're in business.

 

I use the regular shotgun in lots of cases wherevother people use the SSG.  The SSG frustrates me.  If you miss a shot (I know,how, but it happens), you have to wait to adjust and finish the job.  Plus, you can't optimize each shot to use both shells effectively all the time.  So I'd be happy to swap the SSG out and put the flamethrower in.

 

Unpopular opinion.

I like the rifle, nailgun, and flamethrower from ZDCMP2. Couple that with a grenade launcher and a railgun maybe, and you're pretty much set.

I've had an idea of a blue-shift like mod for Doom 2 and all the weapons were real weapons, such as revolvers and rifles.

It would possibly return the cut weapons such as the Rifle, Unmaker, etc. and it would be a major improvement within the game and could possibly introduce more monsters, or more maps, and it would be a great idea if the engine limitation didn't exist.
