I see your really enjoying it. Now i do want to make a few comment: In E1M7 which by the way the name in latin is called "plague of the forgotten" the yellow key door is a secret...but it also doubles as a trap. There is a way to get there, you just have to find the secret teleporter that is not label as a secret, and the door where the lost souls we're....that's an actual door i made to make it look like it was off the tracks. I forgot to mention E1M7 is a remake since the OG version was trash. 

 

E1M8 Another remake since the OG version was trash as well. I made it into a trail by fire thing where you go through the first 8 starting area's of each map and fight your way to the end to only die by four cyber demons. And the end text i had to shorten for DSDA Doom but the last line is "Was it worth it? Was she worth it in the end?"

 

Dark ending i know but i made it that way because i want this to be dark but not super dark, just dark in general as a story narrative. 

 

And one last thing, you said you had to go back and see what levels are finished in Ep. 2, i can tell you right here. The levels that are done are the following E2M1. E2M3, E2M4, E2M9 and E2M8. The rest are still a work in progress but E2M5 is done but there are no monsters or ammo or weapons in it. But again i am writing down notes and once your finish i'll make a "behind the levels design magic" on how i did and what i wanted in the map. Oh and i had to double check on that midi snax used in her E1M1 for her ultimate doom wad...yeah i didn't know i was copying her lol.

Hello, you may remember me, because a few months ago, you played my first .WAD called "Death's Garden", so I'm curious about your comments and opinions about my latest .WAD so far - Charming Castle! It's a relatively short vanilla Doom II level made in the vein of Doom II's second map.

 

Note: check the notes in the map thread before you decide to play.

As of now I don't have any limit on how many maps can be submitted by a person, the op is vague right now and only says something like "single maps and short sets" I plan on rewriting the op at some point to make it more detailed but for now I think it's fine.

 

So go ahead you can submit more! :)

I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread. I don’t have a map to upload right now, but just wanted to drop by to commend @thelamp for your work here. This is a lot of Doom to cover, and your energy and positive feedback in covering the works of others is much appreciated.

It's okay, you just didn't notice the plasma in the first wood room and didn't see the button locking the archvile. In fact it can be done single-segment, even on UV. Expected soon

For E2M2, i changed the layout because i was not working right how i wanted it too and also yes E2M2 is not finished (Yet), E2M5 is done but has no enemies in it (yet), E2M6 is just a starting area and E2M7 is i don't even know yet, still working on that part for it.

I decided to try this map again, and it went a lot better. For maps like this (very difficult combat puzzles) in the future, I think I'll probably practice them first rather than record the blind run and get flustered and rattled in the video. I know getting mad is sort of part of the fun of figuring out these levels but I think I only missed the plasma gun because of my complaining, and being recorded at the same time just compounds the frustration. Anyways I managed to get an exit this time and I'm glad I came back to it! Good level thanks for requesting it!

@thelamp Thank you for playing this project - I was waiting for full playthrough of this mapset. In hindsight, this project could be toned down and given more clues how to navigate, but as almost year passed since release, I don't want bother anymore, unless I'll decide do some remaster of sorts. I applaud your courage keeping ultra violence skill, even if you could lower skills, especially on map05. 

In map02, I placed bfg in mind to ease fight that one fight, but of course I don't mind if people have other strategies and ways to continue on or get in area other ways than intended. Map03 was the newest in rotation, map01-map02 are oldest ones. Anyway, I hope you had some fun, despite some harsh encounters in levels. If you have some questions about my design stuff or why I did this or that, feel free to ping me.

@thelamp Thanks playing my maps! Glad you had fun and liked my new enemy; the former marine, speaking of which i was thinking about toning down his plasma counter attack by rising the duration of his pain frames as i was worried it might be annoying to fight them due to their high damage output. The camo chaingunners looked good before i converted them to the Doom palette lol, the beige colors and especially how those beige spots stand out even more during their firing frames is what makes them look weird.

Hello, I have created a procedurally generated wad using wadc and would love to watch you have "fun" while playing it

And for anyone else asking, no I didn't make this using slige/slump/oblige/obhack/obaddon/obsidian.  I wrote the code for the generator over the course of a few hours while learning how wadc works, and this is one of the results with a seed that produces an actually beatable level.
