Hey lamp, peep this one.

UDMF format, please run it in GZDoom with fancy graphics turned on so you can see all the pretty lights. Or if you don't want to do that it's cool I guess, just gonna make me pretty sad :(

Heya, very new at Doom mapping. I'm still learning so any feedback would be nice. It's a simple level wad, pretty short. Pretty bad but I tried and I'll try to improve it laterXYBEAR.zip

I'm almost finishing level 2 of red.wad, unfortunately the MIDI will have less than 30 seconds because I am not creative.

@thelamp Got a new one for ya here: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/post/2645351  it's for a 1024x1024 project. Changes may be made in future if needed but everything is fully mapped out and implemented. Hopefully @DJVCardMaster doesn't mind, otherwise I can take down the link.

All difficulties implemented, Can get saucy on UV, personally i'd say it's nowhere near slaughter at all but then again, I'm the mapper so my perception may be skewed.

I've been making these off and on for the past 7 years.  Some of this stuff is my early work.  They do require GZDoom and at least a few maps are on the longer side, so I understand if you don't want to finish all of them.

Includes 8 maps for Doom II.  Pistol starting is optional.  They're probably better experienced from pistol start, but it will make the maps harder.

 

Play Information

Title:  Return to Deimos (working title)
Map Format:  UDMF/Doom (limit removing)
             As stated above, this is designed to use some GZDoom features
             It's not ready to be played on other ports yet
IWAD:  DOOM2.WAD
Single player only
Jumping & Crouching are not recommended and may break parts of the map
Difficulty settings have not been fully implemented yet
Designed to be played with software rendering, but this isn't required

 

There's a longer readme included in the download.

I also forgot to mention that they're intended to be played with GZDoom's default compatibility settings.

 

In case there are other settings you want to change, then the most important settings are that infinite height actors should be turned off, and the lost soul limit should be off (otherwise you'll have Pain Elemental buddies following you around in some maps).

ok cool I was gonna ask about this. I was going to try it in Woof just cause, but if infinitely tall is a factor then I'll just play it in GZ haha

Hope youre still taking.

I made a small vanilla map and some feedback would be very nice :)

 

UV is pretty spicy so id recommend hurt me plenty, though even that is reportedly tricky. Should run decently in chocolate, crispy and gzdoom. Primarily tasted with chocolate.

If you enjoy this one you could also look up killfac.wad on idgames, which is an earlier map i made, tested only in gzdoom though.

    I'm back, and with two new maps, which are a lot better then map 1. GZdoom maps. I took some of your advice and I'm really proud of these levels.

Looks like this video got deleted by youtube I don't have a clue why? Maybe I upload too much and they're calling it spamming idk. I'm appealing the removal so we'll see what happens with that. The appeal came in while I was editing this, they're standing by their decision to delete it for god know's what stupid reason, if anyone has a suggestion for where to upload as a backup I'm all ears!
