 Interesting stuff! DeHackEd is cool but it's also a bit like a rube goldberg machine haha. I'm glad the fix was something simple :)

Map 02 isn’t quite ready yet haha :P as you found out I guess :P

 

map03 is complete and that is the only other totally complete map. There is an updated file link in the download which have the final versions of maps 1 and 3 :) sorry for the confusion! My bad 😫😫

haha yeah the map is a bit undercooked, sorry I didn't realize I was meant to play map03 instead lol. No matter, I'll play map03 tomorrow and sorry if the criticism is too hard on map02 it was a very difficult map to play in the state it's in now but I'm sure it will turn out well. Detailing is pretty nice so far too!

yeah, not 100 percent complete. It’s got a ways to go. I did learn that I need to make those walkways wider though :P

yeah, so if you just hit that download again it’s an updated version.

 

I hope you like Stagnation :)

 

(redux cause I finished back in 2020 and then this year went back and totally overhauled the map haha :P)

Hello. I sent you a request on February 27th via a personal message. Seeing this makes me feel kinda forgotten since it was not read for weeks, now I don't see my wad in this thread, nor did I get a reply. So I'd like to ask if I'm in the pecking order and please put my request at least a bit higher, because I've sent it almost 3 months ago. Check your mailbox if you don't believe me.

Woah sorry about that! I do a lot of playtesting and requests sorry this must've just slipped through the cracks and I wouldn't be surprised if there are others; if there's anyone in this thread I missed feel free to remind me about it! Please repost your link and I will play your wad!!

  • Difficulty curve on Ultra-Violence: Find out yourselves, I can no longer proclaim it. 
  • New monsters: None, even Nazis and Commander Keens aren't used and aren't going to be used. 
  • New graphics: None, but I use textures from Final Doom 
  • New music: Yes, but in OGG Vobris format. 
  • Compatibility: Limit removing 
  • Tested with: 
    • Chocolate Doom - runs everything except the music, however it refused to issue warp on 29 and 30. 
    • Crispy Doom - runs everything. 
    • GLBoom-Plus - runs everything on -complevel 2, most of the screenshots are from there. 
    • GZDoom - runs everything, gamma correction 1.5 recommended. 

 

I'll check up if the link works and will edit the post if it does. Yeah, it does, but you may have to copy it and paste it in a new session.

Thanks for playing through my Crate-Fort map. It was really interesting seeing how you tackled it. I would have thought you would have turned left into the crate room that had all the extra ammo in it and the pathway that leads to the secret instead of going right where the open area and the Super Shotgun.

Thanks for playing! Expedition Part 2 will have plenty of ammo. Trust me on it. Sorry about not telling you but in MAP01 you are supposed to crouch under the broken door. Also I am making it that there is more ammo in MAP05 because there was none.

Many zombiemen were supposed to teleport around you in the end of MAP03, I don't know what happened there, I tested it and they teleported.

Huh. I did not think you'd play all the maps in Hell Invasion.

 

A few things I think you should keep in mind (because the wad might become impossible otherwise) is that the wad requires Jumping, Crouching and freelook. Also some fights might become impossible if Infinitely Tall monsters are enabled. In fact, the opening room of MAP02 is impossible to escape unless the player jumps through the windows into the castle itself.

 

That was actually how you were meant to get the health bonuses in MAP01; Jumping to those carts.

 

Speaking of impossible parts of level, MAP14 and MAP15 are actually incomplete. They don't have a way to actually end the map since they aren't finished. I kind of just did Maps 1 to 10, skipped 11, then 12 and 13, left 14 and 15 incomplete and then just went and completed MAP24 (Which is the one I'm most proud of)

Hey I'm not gonna stop you if you wanna play the other maps lol. MAP24 is the one that I'm the most proud of though.

 

And yeah the stuff I said still apply to that one too: Jumping, crouching and freelook mandatory; Infinitely tall actors must be disabled.
