Random inspiration for Doom mapping

This might be useful for beginners or mappers who sometimes get stuck.

 

I tried to list a bunch of things you might find in an area of a Doom map, put them all in a random generator: HERE IT IS!

  49. Secret passage that gives advantage over enemies (like a sniping position)
  50. Teleport to a section that’s completely different, then come back
  51. View over outdoor area
  52. Exit to outdoor area / entrance to indoor area
  53. Bridge
  54. Sky floor

  55. Multiple paths breaching to different places

  56. Invisible floors

  57. Floor raising or lowering over a toxic liquids pool

  58. Crusher defending a important item or location

  59. Raising stairs by trigger effect

  60. Floor(s) moving up and down

  61. A hard monster beatable only via telefragging

  62. A office

  63. Library

  64. An apartment

  65. Liquid falls flooding the room

  66. Place filled with corpses

  67. A worshipping temple
