Where can I find a website to buy/download Doom 1993.

Recommended Posts

Yo! I'm new around the forums and website itself so 'scuse me if I'm using a wrong tag or something of that sort.

I've been looking around Google and videos to find a way to get DooM 1993, y'know- the classic.

But each thing I stumble upon looks so sketchy like it will bug my PC with some shitty viruses of Chinese or whatever propaganda.

Anyone out here that can help me find a safe way or a website to buy/download a copy or the game itself. (Confirmed/Safe website of some sort)

Would help a lots! thx!

Wire me (aka Quentin Robert DeNameland)  $49.95 in Crypto tokens through PayPal with your name, address, phone number and social security. I’ll send you the tracking info and before you know it there’ll be Doom at your doorstep, the old fashioned way.

Fixed your post. :D

Buy Doom Eternal, the DOOM and DOOM II wads are in the files.

Download a source port and drag one of the wads into it

Play DOOM

// so for going on three decades now, I've had the doom Shareware discs, NIB coppy of Doom 2 1.666, ultimate and doom2 for windows 95 CDs, Master Levels CD, doom for SNES, Doom 64,  the rereleases of doom, doom2, doom 64 for ps4, and doom 2016 on ps4... never felt like i paid anything but a fair price, all these times. that said, ten of thousands of hours of enjoyment, and it still doesn't cost as much as a Windows XP cd key. 10/10 will buy again, even though im sure i have the rights to damn near evey version (plutonia and TNT excluded)...

It is worth clarifying that both GOG and Steam contain the re-release and the original DOS executables which are, I believe, the last 1.9 releases.

If the OP wants the original executables and data, I believe downgrade patches exist?

Final Doom isn't sold anymore.

I think Final Doom and the Master Levels are both included with Doom 2 now.

Yes it is.

No thinking about it, it is. They were all consolidated together into a single purchase. Much like how Doom 3 and BFG are combined now.

Yes they do, and they are a simple google search away.

It's available with Doom 1 too. Therefore I don't consider it "sold" since it's a free addon that is available by purchasing either of those games.

No it's literally sold with Doom2, the original v1.9 release. Not just an addon download.

So it's available as both? That's weird.

Just use FreeDoom if you don't have like $2.50 to spend or enough confidence in your ability to pirate things.

I would recommend you buy on GOG.com as they made it easy to configure and play the game (Steam usually doesn't give a fuck about it), and Doom II comes with Final Doom included even though it may only show you the base game on the store page (I bought it before the "Enhanced" update).

If you feel you're getting out of your comfort zone, then you can still buy it on Steam (although it's more of a pain in the ass to play).

How is it more a pain in the ass to play on Steam? I wouldn't know because I didn't buy it on there (my Doom games in my Steam library are GZDoom; I already own the games)

Both Steam and GOG have similar (if not identical) DOSbox configurations, as well as having the updated port. There's no real difference.
