Game that looks like Doom to me

The game I'm talking about is Spooky Jumpscare Mansion (2015)

 

it uses sprites, the wall textures are a bit similar, the graphics are similar, there are HOM effects, it runs on anything.

The only difference is that it has no weapons, it is pseudo 3D unlike Doom which is actually 3D and it uses the GameMaker engine.

I know that game, it looks more like Wolfenstein 3D than Doom in some of its early rooms (because of their lack of vertical height).
Also, if I remember correctly, I don't think it has diagonal walls like Doom.

There are tons of games that look like Doom, such as a lot of boomer shooter games.

what are you guys smoking? Doom is, in fact, a 2D game that was intended by the developer to be played with ONLY a keyboard, the mouse turning was just a neat (and gimmicky) feature the developer added, get your facts right.

To be honest, on a first glance it doesn't look like Doom to me... more like a 90's dungeon crawler. The view bobing is different, the art direction is as far from Doom as possible, and the overall look is way different. There are plenty of games that look like or a similar to this one. 

You want to talk about a game that comes close to Doom? Star Wars: Dark Forces is the one. The Jedi Engine on which it was made, looks almost like a rip-off of the Doom Engine, except it's more advanced for the time.

Calling Doom "Pseudo 3D" isn't some unforgivable heresy that warrants dog-piling on OP for. Neither does it warrant instantly condemning the thread as "bad".

I kinda have to disagree? I mean you're not wrong about Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion but if that's all it take to qualify as "Doom-like" I feel like every Sprite based FPS will qualify as "Doom-like". Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Heretic, Ion Maiden, Shadow Warrior, Wolf 3D, Rise of the Triad etc. etc. You get the idea.

I'm tired of this pseudo 3D thing, the game logic is 3D, entities have X Y *and* Z coordinates, width,height *and* depth just because it doesn't use your fancy-shmancy "polygon" doohickeys doesn't mean it's "pseudo 3D"

People were jocking, don't take it too serious.

The Topic about the Z,Y and X Coordinates of Doom have only been opened so often, that many just take it humor wise to the Top :)

 

Edit: did you play Spooky Jumpscare Mansion ?

Guessing from the Screenshots only, it seems to have some more Ideas, as only being a Wolfenstein/Doom Clone.

It has references to other games like Amnesia, Clock Tower, Resident Evil, etc. But the graphics are similar to Doom's.
