Jack9955 Posted May 22, 2023 So I want to remove all unused textures, however I have to click each checkbox one by one, any way to remove every unused texture at once? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Arrowhead Posted May 23, 2023 (edited) You need to use the Slade maintenance tools, from the last stable release of the program. Sometimes Slade3 crashes upon performing the below steps, but sometimes not, it can be a little touchy sometimes, (I personally use an older version of the program for these steps) Go to 'Archive' in the top taskbar of the program, and select 'Maintenance'. then 'Remove unused textures' then 'Remove unused flats' then 'Remove unused patches'. Save in-between each of the above steps. Be sure to make a backup of your original before doing this - sometimes this process can mess up. Also, if you have animated textures, make sure all your frames are present in the WAD - otherwise Slade will rip out the remaining frames of the animation. Hope that helps a little bit! Jack9955 Posted May 23, 2023 I removed each texture manually, it didn't mess my WAD up. I do know it can mess elevators and lifts, since the textures do not appear in the editor, but can appear at the game when you interact with it, causing a HOM! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Regardless, the above method will save you a lot of time if you're using a massive texture pack like Otex1.1., or something of similar size. It's a good practice to get used to, when you work on larger projects. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Renbot Posted May 25, 2023 (edited) Hey, I'm having the same issue. When I try to get Slade to "remove unused textures", it asks me to tick them manually. Shift-selecting doesn't seem to work. Is there a shortcut for this? Spoiler Edited May 25, 2023 by Renbot 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
