What do you do for your birthday?

Recommended Posts

I haven't celebrated my birthdays for 5-6 years because I have no one to do it with, so I don't really know what do people usually do. You are welcomed to share your experience.

I go out with my friends and I spend the entire day in bar. 🍷🍷🍷🍸🍸🍸

just kidding 🤣🤣

So, honest time, I spend almost my entire day just like a normal day, I just keep on doing my daily chores and other stuff.

I go out with my friends, and we do some small parties like eating namkeen snacks in evening.

Also, I go out with my family at night-time for a dinner.

So, yeah, nothing too special

Sister make a dinner every year for two days, she and my mother make gifts, we listen to music and sometimes watch movies late at night.

for the Last few years I usually go to this Hibachi place with Family, then eat the leftovers the next day, pretty damn good.

The family gets a cake and we sing happy birthday to you, then you blow out your candles and we cheer, there is no getting out of it.

We've done this forever, we will do this forever and if I ever raise a family they're fucking doing it too.

I deny any accusations, insisting it's nothing but a baseless rumor and then ignore the problem until it goes away on its own.

On the day itself, not much.  My wife and I go out for a meal, and I will visit my mother and sister for coffee.

However, my wife's birthday is only two months after mine, and at a time of year that is much better for travelling, so we'll often go on a short trip then that we consider a combined birthday experience.  e.g. around her next birthday, we're doing to Adelaide, but that trip is for both of us, not just her.  Though she will admittedly get a lot more out of South Australia's wineries than I will, during the time we are there :)

Try to get my wife to let me buy myself something, because she's of the opinion that her own birthday should be forgotten, mainly because she's older than me. ;)

"slam the clam" xD
Never heard that one before.

I spend the day hiding because my father insists that you shouldn't be alone on your birthday but I'm tired of trying to explain to him that's the only thing I want to do on my birthday. Fucking ONE day of peace and quiet where I feel entitled to doing what I want to do, is that too much to ask? Piss off, dad!

... Phew... feels like therapy, this.

I look forward to my birthday. I invite about 10 or so of my family and friends to my house.

We cook about 5 kilos of lamb and pork spit, with some sausages, chicken wings, salad etc

It's a good day.

I used to do a lot of things for my birthdays, nowadays my mum just gets me pocket money for whatever the hell I want... Which used to be games and such but now I just buy the random $5 block of chocolate from the local foodland or maybe the occasional nerf gun from yonder-way... I am on track to hopefully get a paid job so any birthday past that point in my life I imagine would just be me stuffing myself full of cheesecake or blue vein cheese or just go about my business like nothing ever happened :/
