What IS important is that I've got a map, that I've made just for all of you lovely folks to play, yes YOU. But enough of me running my mouth, anyways, here's the map! Compatibility: MBF21 (duh) For advanced ports (cough, cough, GZDoom): No jumping and or crouching, freelook is fine though! IWAD: Doom 2 Map: MAP01 Buildtime: ~10 days (please end me) Playtime: 15-20 minutes Now.....the long part, the Credits: SMG Sprite: Doom Delta Minigun Sprite: Skulltag Textures: OTEX by Ukiro, and Grass Midtex ripped from Valiant by Skillsaw. Midi: Accelerator by AD_79, Waiting Room by AD_79, and Intermission is a random conversion of "I wanna be like you" from the Jungle Book I found. Pistol/Chaingun sounds are ripped from Doom Delta. Shell Sprites from Ray Mohawk 2 by Doomkid Tree Sprites are automatically generated by DOOMTREE Sky from Mek's Box O' Skies TITLEPIC is the Quake 3 Render of Doomguy DECOHACK to make the Dehacked, UDB to make the map. @Paf for fixing the sky issues in this damn wad and playtesting, And finally, all the lovely folks at The Entryway ( https://discord.gg/Ascc59b ) for playtesting, giving advice, and generally just being grand ol' people to hang around! Ravendesk Posted May 26, 2023 Nice map. Here is fda with saves: overgrowth-fda-00003.zip. You would need dsda-doom 0.25.6 to play it back. I have a thing for maps that force you to use a single shotgun, but do it well (which is rare), and I think it worked out nicely in the first half of the map. Visuals are also pretty. Fda will give you more feedback than any text, but a few things you might want to consider: 1. Maybe a teleporter back after picking up the red key, so you don't need to walk back all the way. 2. Lava area with revs can use a few pillars imo, otherwise there is not much space to break the homing missiles and it kinda promoted campy gameplay. 3. I ran out of ammo in the second half of the map, but I admittedly wasn't careful enough with my ammo usage. If that's what you intended, alright then.
