I can't play properly myhouse.wad

I'm new to the world of doom mods. I'm trying to play myhouse.wad but I think I'm running it wrong because nothing happens what I saw in a piece of gameplay, I finish house level , then I play underhalls and then the gantlet. I notice that the doomguy is smaller in relation to that gameplay.
