Chris Hansen Posted June 4, 2023 I think you need to drag your .wad file to the gzdoom executable and not the .dbs file. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
LuciferSam86 Posted June 4, 2023 (edited) wads or pk3s , I don't have idea what a dbs file is :) PS: Next time put a better title that fits your problem and a description of the problem. Not everyone has time to watch the video, or even might have a browser that does not render the gif correctly, and your problem is not searchable by someone that has the same problem. Here a guide that explains how to write correctly a new thread: Edited June 4, 2023 by LuciferSam86 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
mrthejoshmon Posted June 4, 2023 .DBS is the save file for your map information for Doombuilder itself (DoomBuilder Save). You want to be using the .wad file. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

If it is another map inside the same file (MAP02 slot, instead of MAP01), load it up on your sourceport of choice you then change the level (the nextmap command on gzdoom's console or type in-game IDCLEV02 if it is the second map of Doom 2) When you press the Run button Ultimate Doom Builder loads up the map you're currently working on with parameters. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Theratman Posted June 4, 2023 @RedneckerzHow do i fix the problem? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
kwc Posted June 4, 2023 (edited) These two maps of yours, are they each in their own .wad? If so, can you open them in SLADE take a screenshot of the contents of each .wad and post them here? From the little bit of info we’ve got from you, it sounds like you have two different maps on map01 slot. Ideally, post your wads to this thread directly and someone can look at it without having to do this back-and-forth. Edited June 4, 2023 by kwc 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

How is that even remotely an answer to my post? You need to explain your problem and highlight it with examples instead of asking how we can fix the problem, when we have no explanation or examples to begin with! So my answer is: By posting the maps and/or following @kwc's post. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
NoWits Posted June 4, 2023 I see that when you start GZDoom, map01 is all red and evil looking. The obvious explanation is that your computer is cursed. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
kwc Posted June 4, 2023 @Theratman Cool, you posted a screenshot of one wad but not the other. You're using UDMF so I can't get the information I was looking for from a simple screenshot (the format would be something you'd wanna share at the beginning for future problem threads you may start). How about simply sending both .wad files through the attach feature on the forum and we can check it out on our end: 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Drywtler Posted June 6, 2023 I don't know if you renamed these yourself, but if you want GZDoom to pick them up on MAP01 in particular you shouldn't change the name to anything else. I highlighted the map marker names. Now, if you wish to change the map titles, you should do it with a MAPINFO lump. More details at ZDoom Wiki As of right now, if you open them directly into GZDoom you can only access LOSTHOME and TED with the console and typing "map LOSTHOME" or "map TED" to warp to them. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
