Custom texture pack problem

Jack9955

Question

I'm having issues with a realm667 custom texture pack, I loaded it as a resource in UDB.

When I play my WAD through UDB, the flat displays and no errors occur. But when I open the WAD directly through Chocolate Doom, this appears:

Adding resource to UDB simply tells it to load it when editing and testing, but doesn't affect your wad.

You now either need to use SLADE to copy texture pack into your map wad or load them together into Chocoloate Doom.

How do I copy the texture pack to my WAD? if I import the texture pack, it comes as a WAD archive and won't work

Open the texture pack WAD file in slade, copy all the textures between the "PP_START" and "PP_END markers, open the wad file where your map is, create those markers inside your wad, then paste all the textures inside.
You have also to add them to TEXTURES, with the menu in the screenshots.

EDIT: FOR FLATS, THIS IS NOT THE WAY YOU DO IT. FOR FLATS YOU SIMPLE PUT THE TEXTURE FILE BETWEEN FF_START AND F_END MARKERS. Don't forget to convert your images to flat format.

Interesting, how do I make a TEXTURE2 lump? I want to segregate them from the IWAD textures. I couldn't find any tutorial.
