RubyAurora Posted June 13, 2023 I have been suddenly affected by a texture glitch and I can't seem to find a solution for it anywhere. This is how the texture looks on the editor (GZDoom Builder): Spoiler This is how it looks in-game (DSDA DOOM): Spoiler And this is how the texture looks in SLADE: Spoiler This is a multi patch texture and for some reason the bottom and top patch is moving position in-game. Is there a limitation that I'm not aware that doesn't let arrange textures in this way? I'm mapping Doom: Doom2 (Doom format) format by the way. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
jaeden Posted June 13, 2023 Just to make sure... the -8 Y offset in DB is intentional? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
RubyAurora Posted June 13, 2023 Yes. The texture glitch keeps happening with or without a offset. If you look at the wall on the right in the ingame pic, the glitch is also affecting it. That wall doesn't have a offset in it's texture. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
maxmanium Posted June 13, 2023 TBH I'm having a hard time telling what exactly you're referring to. It looks identical to me. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
RubyAurora Posted June 13, 2023 Here is a side by side comparison: Spoiler 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
INfront95 Posted June 13, 2023 Ehhhh, try to move the patch of the concrete a little higher? To hide the trim line. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
RubyAurora Posted June 13, 2023 Here it is the file: textures2.rar 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Capellan Posted June 13, 2023 You have a negative Y offset on a patch. Doom apparently ignores these. I had a similar issue: 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
RubyAurora Posted June 14, 2023 Hmm.. Yeah, you are right. The middle black texture had the same the problem until I moved it a bit and I think it was also a Y negative value. I guess a new thing to avoid. I'm glad I normally avoid doing multi patch texture stuff. I wish I could have found that thread earlier. Well, thanks everybody. That's the solution then. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
