watto3699 Posted June 24, 2023 Looks awesome, think I saw some of your work on the play-test discord. Looked good then and looks good now, can't wait to give it a crack! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dee Legit Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) The feel when you notice misaligned textures in your own darn screenshots 🙃 Edited June 24, 2023 by Dee Legit 8 Quote Share this post Link to post
Degree23 Posted June 24, 2023 Played on UV and very enjoyable. If you find the BFG there's maybe a bit too much ammo around for the final fight, but otherwise balance seemed good. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I did also find the BFG because I loved the maze as it kind of reminded me of some older puzzles in the ancient Medieval game or some such. Two minor things if I may. So my first run (Where I died horribly) I went the red key path first and ended up in the maze eventually with just the shotgun (Having completely missed the Super Shotgun like a moron) and facing off against two *Redacted* at the same time. Oof that was a crazy difficulty spike. If there were a few pillars to hide behind in that small lava area around the guarded teleporter I think that would give some of us players that like to take in the scenery a chance to run away. The other thing was at the red area. You can blast the imps from behind the windows up top without them ever shooting at you. I think this is just some weird quirk of the engine along with monsters needing to take a few steps before shooting. That behaviour can be alleviated with "+ALWAYSFAST" I should think. Otherwise. Fantastic scenery, nice ramp up of difficulty (Aside from a few personal instances), excellent eye for detail. I especially liked the long sight line through the computer room to the blue key. Lovely little player tease and just looks great overall. Only unfortunate visual thing I found was this: Spoiler Do you HAVE to change anything based on what I said? Haha no. As I said, they're inconsequential, but I'm a perfectionist so I wanted to point them out if you're like me and hadn't noticed :) An arbitrary 9/10 ^_^ 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Turbo Saber Posted June 24, 2023 Awesome map! The visuals are very pretty and the layout is fun to navigate (the secrets were actually pretty fun to figure out too). Played on HMP but I'm gonna run through it again on UV. Also, found a way to get out of bounds near the exit. The gap between the rock walls here is big enough to fit through. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
LadyMistDragon Posted June 24, 2023 I was running low on time and that's why I didn't finish. Pretty exciting stuff though! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Just a guy Posted June 25, 2023 This map is fantastic, thanks for sharing. Nice, cohesive visuals and layout. Ran through it on HMP, got 94% kills and only 30-something % secrets. I really enjoyed the hedge maze, and there are tons of fun little loop-backs throughout the map that make you think, "ah, so that's where that goes." Very fun; would recommend. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Clippy Posted June 28, 2023 I was pretty sleepy when I played this and @Biodegradable intentionally made me do that big fight without the BFG lol - cool map! 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
