iiYoNa Posted June 27, 2023 I'm a new mapper and I'm looking for ideas for a map 30 gimmick involving telefragging monsters. I feel like telefrag tag has been used in other wads, in maps other than map 30. I'm not against telefrag tag, but I wanted to ask the doom community for suggestions on maybe something more interesting. also I'm working in limit-removing doom 2 and i want to avoid using the icon of sin spawners because it would break how I want the map progression to work. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

In general, I will say only one thing, the usual icon of sin with the constant spawning of monsters and where you have to jump with a rocket to shoot in the head - one of the most stuffy and unpleasant bosses in general shooters. I just like the idea of a good tough hard (but fair, no need to strangle the player) arena in MAP30, which will be exactly designed epically, as a grand finale. And the very icon just nominally put at the end and let player quietly without spavners to kill it, as the "cherry on the cake" and the final point in the passage of the megawad. I'm trying to avoid using the spawners anyways.
