Obscure facts about DooM

I wanted to make this thread to share and find out some small details in DooM, eg: did you know that the idea of Doom was inspired by a Dnd campaign the devs were playing where the forces of hell invaded. that was one that a lot of people know but i am purely making this so people can share all the obscure facts about the game that they know

This thread pretty much has this covered to be honest. While some of the posts there are just people realizing things that are not at all obscure for the first time; there’s plenty of obscure findings as well.
