volleyvalley Posted July 1, 2023 See the title. Ever since I've added flats to my .WAD, which I'm working on with a few people, the .WAD doesn't cooperate when I try to launch it in Crispy Doom, but oddly enough, the .WAD only launches in Chocolate Doom, which is the target compatibility, but that is still not very good, since we don't want our .WAD to be only playable in Chocolate Doom. Does anyone know what's going on? I'll add the .WAD here if it helps anything. Any amount of help is appreciated! HYPERPIN.rar 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ViolentBeetle Posted July 1, 2023 I am not 100% sure if this is the problem you are encountered, but flats aren't supposed to be added to PNAMES or TEXTURE1 and attempt to do so will produce an error and a crash since it's not the kind of graphic it's expecting. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
volleyvalley Posted July 1, 2023 So I just have to put them between the FF_START and F_END? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
RataUnderground Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) Yes, but other than that... The game crashes because you have the map 01 completely empty. I've added a room to map 01 and an start point and it works without problems. [Nugget Doom] Spoiler [Crispy Doom] Spoiler Edited July 1, 2023 by RataUnderground 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
volleyvalley Posted July 1, 2023 MAP01 is a temporary placeholder, always launched the game in MAP02 via UDB. Thanks to @ViolentBeetle and @RataUnderground for pointing out the issue! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
