Will chocolate doom ever support older doom versions than v1.9?

I would presume that this is compatible with chocolate doom's mission and would help preservation. Also, thanks to the chocolate doom team for making such a good source port. I also thank fraggle (Simon Howard) for answering my questions on Mastodon before I nuked my account.
