DΞLTΛ Posted July 20, 2023 So I had this little writing project I was doing that I want to base my games and stuff on called the "deltaverse", It's a WIP sort of lovecraft mythos/marvel cinematic universe type deal with multiple factions and many different characters referred to as "guardians". It will focus on some of the races and the factions and I aim to tell a story with this about about love, hate, war, depression, betrayal, happiness, and praying to hell that highly religious furry cyborgs don't come knocking on your door... Here's a snippet of what I decided to write down. Keep in mind that this is a work in progress and things may or may not be subject to change :P FACTIONS the federation of humanity - every known dimension known to contain humans or is primarily comprised of humans are in this federation. As of the fifth era of technological advancement, humanity had to scrape up what they had left due to the DVI's voracious attempts at eradicating them as the DVI see them as "the unholy scourge that must be eradicated in the name of the light". They now constantly flee from the DVI, seeking refuge in lesser known, and relatively isolated dimensions. UDM - the United Dimensional Military (or UDM for short), is a well-known military faction comprised mainly of humans, sadesh, firaxians, kaimiru, and tek. They frequently combat the DVI's efforts at their goal of conquest and expansion in the name of pyeridae. As such they are viewed as a giant obstacle in the faithful's divine mission. DVI - the Divine Empire (or DVI for short), is a notoriously evil military force with only one goal: conquest and expansion. They are a purely firaxian based organization although there have been as of yet unconfirmed reports of humans and kaimiru in the DVI. They are extremely religious and have no qualms in wiping out entire races should they get the chance. They have conquered numerous dimensions and as of the sixth era of technological advancement, had a strange turnaround and became quite the bunch of golden souls, assisting those in need in the name of the light rather than conquering and exterminating in the name of the light. It is rumored that the high empress took control of the DVI when her parents died which resulted in a huge power-fantasy where she believed that nobody in the multiverse is allowed to tell her no which in turn, started the mayhem war. It is also rumored that the DVI was a surprisingly good bunch of people before the high empress was in control. By then she had given birth to her daughter who would later become the new high empress. When the new empress took power of the DVI following the high empress's arrest at the hand of kane, she heavily changed the divine scriptures so that it would be what the DVI was before the empress went insane. To this day, they still manage to resist annexation and still remain a completely autonomous empire. KAI-REP - The kaimiru republic, better known as the "KAI-REP" is the kaimiru's only form of offense and defense, it is solely comprised of kaimiru and it's presence is at it's strongest in the kaimiru's home dimension: kaira. As of the fifth era of technological advancement, the DVI invaded kaira and the kaimiru was forced into an involuntary alliance with the faithul. As such, the DVI and KAI-REP share equipment with each other, you may see a squad of oppressors driving a KAI-REP APC on the roads of kaira whilst in immora you will see faithful wielding kaimiru-made weaponry. They yearn for the day when they are able to take back their cities and free themselves from the DVI oppression. The gaian union - the GAUN (or the gaian union) is a prominent military force consisting of soldiers, scientists and researchers. They originate in the oromak home dimension and is comprised solely of a race known only as the "gaians". Gaians are a decently advanced race but have not achieved the technological feat of extradimensional travel as of the fifth era of technological advancement. The DVI has plans to eradicate the gaians, however they are situated in the oromak home dimension which means if a single DVI invasion fleet touches down on any planet in that dimension, the oromak will be all over them, causing the DVI's plans on conquering that dimension to rely primarily on passive aggressive colonization efforts. Rumor has it the GAUN are experimenting with oromak and gaian DNA to create a series of biological weapons and other things... But nothing is confirmed as the gaians are fairly isolated due to the lack of technology needed to break past the dimensional barriers and discover new dimensions and no-one is exactly sure what they even do in the first place. The chaos empire - the chaos empire is a fairly mysterious army that has similar goals to the DVI, that being conquest and expansion. When the DVI sought peace in the sixth era of technology, the xanra, the race that chaos empire comes from, sought the opportunity to attempt a mass invasion of the multiverse. They are relegated only to the chaos world, a dimension which lies just beyond and surrounds the multiverse's known borders and is the point of no return for those who wish to venture into the surrounding void where a creature known only as "the null" resides. The oromak horde - the oromak horde is the general term used to describe the oromak and their colonies as a whole, this is a very difficult to discuss faction as it's not one faction, but several "tribes" or "clans" that are grouped into this faction. They are an extremely dangerous opponent to face as oromak have a reputation for not only being nearly unkillable through conventional means, but they are also highly aggressive and will comprehensibly crush any faction that dares cross their path. Due to their fairly low intelligence and high aggression, they are frequently at war with each other although some factions in the horde have formed fairly strong alliances. I will be adding more stuff as time goes by so I hope you enjoy! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
