Gameplay Mod DOOM Mod Based On LSD DREAM EMULATOR

Hello everyone, greetings from France, I am very new to this forum and I wanted to share the Prototype of a DOOM Mod based on LSD Dream Emulator.

 

It use DOOM 2 Iwad, for the latest GZDOOM port, there are no exit (for now).

there is freelook with crouching and jumping enable.

 

there is an implimentation of Immerse V10.4

 

this currently a WIP, I have time until the 4th of September (because of school)

 

To say it is currently the V0.5 WIP Prototype

-One with touhou by japanese artist

-and one with silly face from French School (Family Friendly)

For sure it is quite sloppy and wrong in some places, there problems with the acs and a failed day counter.

Let me know your thoughts and if you want to put your brick in the building you can.

oh wow, I enjoyed that game so to port it to Doom is really a neat idea! will try & give it a run soon.

Ooh this sounds interesting! Can you provide more info on what source port it's meant to be run on, though, and what specific settings are expected if any? Those don't seem to be included. It's probably worth reading this post on what info to give in posts here if you haven't already.

Well, we'll give you one thing, it's certainly weird! Given the source material, we assume that's intentional.

The camera wobbling made us a bit motion sick tbh

 

Edit: the more we look into this the more interesting it is, you've definitely got something going for you here! The music is a bit grating, but the environments are super interesting, and the random map choice is a fun idea!

Glad to ear this, it is intentional that the wierdness get in the way (it is supposed to recreate the atmosphere of the PS1 game), I am starting to have a blackout for now.

For references I used memorized Dreams I had with some of my friends and personal issues.

I really, really love this weird idea! For it being "quite sloppy" as you've described, I think this is a solid prototype, it doesn't have to be the next technical marvel as a dream journal. Keen on seeing what you will add in future versions!

For the record you do not need to copy every single texture from Doom 2 into your mod to use them. That's part of what the IWAD is for.

And you uh. Only need one copy of that folder of footstep sounds, if you even plan on using them all.

Well I didn't see that there were two folders of footstep.

and for the animes tits it's touhou and probably place holder.

 

but in the orginal game of LSD, there were 4 texture pack (normal, distorded, "sexual" and logic).

I guess that goes some of the way towards explaining why there's a powerup called "hornyness" in the files?
