Tac1776 Posted August 5, 2023 I used to use Doombuilder 2 quite a lot but deleted it because I lost interest in mapping. I recently went to go redownload it, but the website is down, and I can't seem to find another trustworthy website. Can somebody send me a link to a download? (even just uploading your download would work). Cheers 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ultimate Doom Builder is recommended for today's map construction. But it requires OpenGL 3.3 or better, DB2 requires DirectX 9. See the editor geneology in my earlier post. Though, if you absolutely want to use Doombuilder2, I provided the links to DB2_r1715 (the latest version of DB3) and it's plugins https://www.mediafire.com/file/k69v4gd4jy3ryb3/Doom_Builder_2_%28r1715%29.7z/file https://www.mediafire.com/file/tomh0skxg6nh894/DB2_Plugins.7z/file https://www.mediafire.com/file/4t46nhm50389zab/doombuilder1guide.pdf/file Edited August 24, 2023 by Kappes Buur 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Clippy Posted August 24, 2023 I got way too comfortable with Doom builder 2 and after a long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long time I finally got the ultimate Doom builder and if you take yourself out of your comfort zone for a moment and soak it in in the long run u will find it much much much better 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Arrowhead Posted August 24, 2023 What Clippy said. I started w/ DoomBuilder 2, then went to DoomBuilder X, then finally Ultimate Doom Builder. Once I switched to UDB, I never looked back. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
LoatharMDPhD Posted August 25, 2023 ...So by using Slade on Linux I've set out to immediately handicap myself? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
indigotyrian Posted August 26, 2023 UDB has some advanced and super-fancy features but SLADE does everything you'd ever want or need. I use SLADE exclusively for my mapping and I quite like it. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
