Quake II Remastered

Recommended Posts

And the game looks so god damn gorgeous!

The enhanced cinematics looks way too crisp, but it'll grow over me.

"Call Of The Machine"? EVEN BETTER!

The enhanced colored lighting must be for QII64, as the main PC game still had it, but it was more weaker.

Improved and restored AI? I mean that's really cool, but I hope that's a toggleable option, else forget about demos.

Enhanced models? Gotta check that out.

Nevermind, the game hasn't popped out yet, but the store page got updated, along with the art for the 'Original' version of the game (QUAD DAMAGE!!!)

And I see other weirdos on chat hating on the remaster "because we want Quak V!!11 not Quaker 2 with texture mod1!!!1/1!!"

My brother in christ, this is some good food, we got more than we could ask. Thank NightDive you assholes.

Looks pretty sweet. Definitely will check it out soon. Trailer looked and sounded badass on the bigscreens here at Quakecon.👍

Damn, now I can play Quake II without having to download all the music from some other source? Great shit right there, that's worth price of admission. Hope they do a remaster for Quake III.

I knew it was coming for ages and I'm still excited oh my god. And I haven't even properly seen it yet and it's GOOD. Does it have remastered FMVs? I'm watching the trailer and it looks like it's there

Well NightDive wouldn't really misinform people... So there's no reason to hide it only in the trailer.

The crisp FMVs already grew on me.

I wasn't implying that... of course they wouldn't. That's awesome. I need to get this right away. Gonna be weird moving from Yamagi. I had actually set my Yamagi up to look as close as possible UI-wise to what I thought the remaster would look like. Looks like I was far off though.

No Playstation Quake II? Bummer.

Still hyped about Quake II 64 on PC and that Call of the Machine expansion!

I wonder what the AI behavior improvements are going to be, though.

It seems like it might be bundled with Quake II on Steam if you bought that in the past. I have a 5.2 GB download so perhaps this is true.

Playstation Quake II is a butchered down mix of the PC campaigns, including the tutorial Quake II N64 map, so there's really no point.

It is, just like the first Quake's remaster.
