i'm not into mákina, though the music in midi form would be perfect for a doom map with fast-paced gameplay :)

The instrumental is definitely a strong part of this composition, especially the guitar solo in the hook. However, more dynamic vocals would have taken the song to an even higher level.

I love Middle-Eastern stringed instruments, they're just so moody and this kind of resembles a soundtrack in song structure. For some reason, the basic rhythm reminds me a bit of reggae though. And maybe Youss could be a touch more dynamic. Weird because singers in this region are really good.

You're right! I discovered this song when I was looking for tracks written simultaneously in the raï and reggae genres :]

 

On topic:

 

I think that the instrumental of this remix would have benefited greatly if it had significantly more components that make up the measure.

This is a really unique arrange and I quite enjoy it. The instrumentation makes it way less imposing than the original. I feel it'd go well with a Frutiger Aero-style image.
