Multiple people on here genuinely were trying to help you out. Hell, you even had some people that worked on the freakin game try to help you. When ask for a little more information, you turned into a real asshole. Sorry you didn't get you answer, but with that kinda attitude I'm not surprised you didn't.

You can use an Password to get to the Level and People will see if you take the right Order with the Switches, if your Movement is somehow interrupted and not as fast as it shouldn't or if something different is going on.

We used to have a saying in a certain gaming community regarding proof of claims: "No vid, no did". It's 2023 and recording a demo or gameplay capture of any kind is not that big a deal. It's not like we're using dial up here. And doesn't PC Doom 64 have IDCLEV, IDCLIP, etc? You could at least just go to the place and verify you're strafe jumping, autorun is on, and you build up a little speed first rather than just falling down. It seems far more likely to me that one of those 3 things is the culprit here. 

 

If what you're saying conflicts with the established and known way the game works, then it will rightly be met with skepticism. Being unable to reproduce the issue or provide pertinent details besides just denying fault when others come up with very mundane explanations. People worked hard on porting the game and would surely be grateful if such a bug were uncovered, but to actually fix it requires confirmation something's wrong, and understanding exactly what's happening. 

 

The fact that you're acting like the people offering help are trying to rip out and sell your kidneys does not really reflect well either. People do get help on this forum with these kinds of issues but it requires some cooperation. Otherwise you get memeing.

You asked for help on a problem, we asked for information to help diagnose the problem, a video is the single best way to diagnose a problem where words do not sufficiently explain it. It's called helping us to help you. You cannot go around assuming your own diagnoses of an issue is the default position and demand us to disprove that first when you are the one that's having the problem in the first place. Nothing can ever get solved that way, and only your yourself are responsible for the thread turning to crap. It has only been you who has been rude and condescending to everyone here attempting to help you with the problems you've been experiencing.

Something that is true across a lot of domains: a lot of "bugs" are caused by very basic user mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes are insultingly trivial -- the sort that make you feel stupid afterwards. When you run into a problem, it can be tempting to immediately assume that something highly obscure is amiss. Sometimes people do that because they'd never assume they made such a silly/simple mistake. But that is not a very wise approach, because once noticed, basic errors are usually quick and easy to fix and obscure ones are often not. So, even if it requires putting your ego aside, be open to the idea that you might be making a basic, beginner-level mistake.

 

This is also why providing tangible evidence of what you're doing is so useful. Others might easily see the mistake you're making that ended up in your blind spot. If you just ask questions about finer details, people have no choice but to engage with those. That means that if the problem was simple all along, the discussion would be hopeless at finding it (unless there is an established history of "typical mistakes" that someone could guess you're probably making). 

 

Anyway since the thread starter is insulting people, this thread has definitely long run its course and is taking away valuable forum real estate from all the SG vs. SSG discussions.
