Hard to say. On a base level the rocket launchers' simple and direct "make that thing over there explode" thing is always fun, but there is a lot of satisfaction in pulling off a sick bouncy boi kill

Missile launcher and C-4. Missiles are guided, rockets are not. C-4 I can detonate when I choose too instead of dealing with a timer.

As long as they have a decent physics engine behind them, I prefer grenade launchers. I love the bloop, and I love bouncing them around corners, and the satisfaction of knocking something out of the air with a grenade is unparalleled. It feels better than a rocket, better than a railgun slug, it just feels good to hit something with a grenade. 

 

And really, the rocket launcher in most games is something that you just fire at someone's feet so you get the splash damage, it seems lazy. Leading the target and popping a grenade into their lap seems so much more satisfying.

To be fair, in the few games that do give a rocket launcher a roll other than a gun with blast damage, it often ends up being either hilarious (reinventing aviation in tf2), or pretty bad ass. I tend to prefer rocket launchers more because of the latter, they tend to feel more powerful, and usually are.

dude grenade launchers SUCK why would you want to use them over a rocket launcher

annoying bounce, annoying physics, you have to wait to even do a jump the second you pop a grenade, just use a rocket launcher

I like depending the game, and character but I enjoy more the bloop and direct hits of the nade launcher.

 

 

 

But that's nothing in comparative with rocket jump and rain of rockets in others games so yeah.
