Slopes in Doom Builder 2/Ultimate Doom Builder

QuaketallicA

Question

Hi. I'm more of an old school level designer, so I'm not used to using the slopes feature. I'm actually being rather sly about using it in a mostly "classic" looking map (sans 3D floors or curves) to create this neat visual illusion of  the road going off into the distance toward the horizon. Anyway, long story short, I can get the slopes to work in one direction, i.e. from one linedef to the other side. However, I would like to create a slope such that it is fixed at one vertex/angle, and slopes upward to the rest of the linedefs in the back. I feel like this is doable somehow. Could a more experienced Doomer explain how I might go about achieving this effect? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I currently use the ZDoom (Doom in Doom) Format. But I'm open to changing that if necessary.

Edit: After consulting ZDoom wiki, I'm specifically referring to help on slope tilt and fixed vertices.

Is this concept possible in SLADE?

Unfortunately no.

That slope tool is exclusive to UDB (UDMF).

Slade3 allows just simple slopes (181).

You are correct.

However, instead of reinventing the wheel I just link the Tutorial by Bridgeburner

Ultimate Doombuilder Tutorial Series: Slope handles and the arch tool

Yeah...I checked Youtube first before commenting, so I already saw that video. I was just wondering if there was a way to do it in ZDoom mode without having to copy/paste into a new project. Thanks anyway! Looks like I'll just do that...again. I started originally in Doom 2 mode, then to ZDoom, now once more.

As a followup, I do have Ultimate Doom Builder, but I primarily use and prefer DB 2. I've seen on this forum people mention a UDB (bug fix). Where might I download this and is it recommended?
