What? On the first page you said it was Complevel 2, so Doom 2 format - now it's a different format? If so then I'm out, sorry, not a fan of mapping in UDMF.

Sorry about that, it was my mistake. We are gonna be using UDMF, as for now it's the one I know more of and it's what a lot of people recommended I use (Unless a lot of people here would prefer otherwise).

Mostly because that would end up being a lot of maps. But also because melee only maps have been made a thousand times before, and would sort of go against the idea of the project.

Well, truth be told I'm not sure exactly if it would matter or not what format it is for the finished WAD, so for now I guess we can go with people are more comfortable with. I do know that there are ways to convert a lot of formats into others, so we might be able to deal with this problem like that...

 

If not, then I'm sure we can find another way:).

Hey everyone, sorry this might seem a bit out of time, but I had forgotten to actually press send on that last post, so it's just been sitting here unsent for a few hours.

 

Anyways, after EXTENSIVE RESEARCH I managed to figure out a way to convert most map formats into any other format. So that means everyone can do their maps on any complevel/format as long as it doesn't use any insane doom magic trick that is beyond my comprehension. Funnily enough, I also just learned that it's likely it wouldn't matter, as maps with different formats don't seem to cause that much trouble in the MEGAWAD, and if anything happens it's easy to solve.

 

With that said, everyone can feel free to make the map on any format :D.
