i finished reading the whole thread. this is like an out of control dumpster fire. This is a website for doom, this became off topic. Now this is becoming political, people accusing each other about being troll accounts.

To be fair, this is in Everything Else, so you can discuss stuff not related to Doom and I think some people have made political threads in Everything Else before but I'm not sure because I don't really get politics and stuff.

Nah I was always active on this site since joining but I rarely visit Everything Else. What happened before 2017?

2017 was when ling came back and switched everything around, and kinda cleaned the site up. new mods, new forum software, new rules, etc.

 

before that, doomworld was much more chaotic, with lots of arguments and flamewars, especially in everything else. honestly, as bad as this thread is, it really doesn't compare to some of the shit that happened back then. at least tracer isn't around anymore, christ...

Oh hey! Remember the old site UI and stuff. Don't remember the flamewars though and generally found the site and community to be welcoming, chill and nice (one of the best on the net). Probably because I almost never visited Everything Else? I do remember some unhinged threads but I never really felt how bad they can be because the unhinged stuff I remember were from the fun times I had browsing Post Hell.

Well, in the first thread I opened after checking his profile, he:

 

1)Misunderstood an obvious reference to Die Hard.

2)Admitted that he's never watched Die Hard.

3)Reported dew after he exposed the fact that he never watched Die Hard.

4)"I hope his name is Bongo and he wears a tuxedo"

5)Gets threatened by Mordeth McClane for reporting dew.

 

I don't see any problems with the guy, in fact he would fit in perfect with this thread.
