SiFi270 Posted September 23, 2023 I was just thinking about how two of its maps shared its names with Doom 1 levels, and suddenly wondered if that's because it was originally going to be a Doom 1 megawad and the levels are from that far back in development. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

There's likely no chance that TNT was going to be a D1 wad. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
SiFi270 Posted September 23, 2023 I think the chances are a lot higher if development started before Doom 2 was released, which is why I'm asking. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

SiFi270 Posted September 23, 2023 All right. Before I made the thread I did check the wiki page for the wad itself, but that post persuaded me to check out the team's page, which lead me to the page on Wikipedia they apparently still have in this day and age, and that finally lead me to this old Ty Halderman interview that gives a date of "late 1994" at the very earliest. So yeah, most likely at a point when Doom 2 was available. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
