'The Chasm' but it's an actual Chasm

A remake of the infamous Doom 2 map 'The Chasm'. Made with a underground cavern aesthetic, Complete with cave exploration and floating platforms.

 

Jumping Disabled, Crouching is REQUIRED

 

Went kind of hard with this remake, using a ton of 3D floors. Wanted to completely change the tone and feel of the original level without changing the structure.

Also learnt to abuse the Stair builder and Gradient features.

The stolen title does not serve this map at all.....it's atmosphere evoked that of the cavern crystal section of Lullaby in perhaps a more down-to-earth and authentic but no less beautiful and atmospheric way overall! It sure took me a long time to realize that crouching was possible XD. Once that was done and all the weapons were found, so many doors opened up metaphorically sleeping! Definitely deserves more attention.:)
